The Good

Tastes like a white cough drop

The Bad

For most e-smokers, that isn't a good thing

Bottom Line

If you love cough drops, Gourmet Vapor’s Menthol Eucalyptus is an e-liquid for you.

Not long ago, I reviewed Gourmet Vapor Menthol Madness, an e-liquid that used eucalyptus as its primary flavor note. I found it a somewhat interesting e-liquid; the eucalyptus gave it an unusual flavor that I hadn’t found previously in another e-liquid. However, it also tasted a bit too much like a cough drop to suit me for daily use. As if that weren’t enough, I also have a bottle of Gourmet Vapor Menthol Eucalyptus, which uses eucalyptus as its only flavor note. It’s the same strangeness, but more of it.

An e-liquid with only one flavor note doesn’t make for a very interesting review. Having reviewed Gourmet Vapor’s Menthol Eucalyptus e-liquid over the past couple of days, the only description I can conjure up for the taste is “white Halls cough drop.” If you like plain menthol-lyptus cough drops, then by all means, this is an e-liquid you should try. I’ve always used cough drops to soothe a sore throat or help prevent coughing, though — I wouldn’t exactly use them for the taste.

Menthol Madness also used this menthol eucalyptus flavor, but it mixed with other flavor notes such as creme de menthe, which added a touch of creaminess to the e-liquid and took the edge off of the eucalyptus. I also thought that the menthol sensation was a bit stronger. Here, the eucalyptus is almost too powerful, and there isn’t quite enough menthol to cool the vapor and provide an interesting physical sensation to go with the flavor.

Gourmet Vapor’s Menthol Eucalyptus is certainly a unique e-liquid, but I wouldn’t call it good and can’t imagine anyone buying and enjoying it. I can’t recommend it.
