Aside from Lemon Ice — which I reviewed quite positively — Apple Ice is perhaps the most popular e-liquid in Mister-E-Liquid’s Ice series of fruit and menthol combinations. When you look at the customer reviews Apple Ice has received, it’s quite impressive; at the time of writing, not a single customer has given it less than five out of five stars. Having recently tried Halo’s incredible Midnight Apple e-liquid, I know how great an apple e-liquid can be. I’m also a great fan of menthol e-liquids, so I was looking forward to this one.

In the bottle, Apple Ice gives off a strong “green apple candy” smell, a bit like the taste of a green Jolly Rancher. However, Apple Ice begins to fall apart a little when you actually vape it. While the green apple taste is certainly pleasant enough, it lacks the mouth-puckering tang that I’d really like to taste in a pure green apple e-liquid. That being said, I have yet to taste any e-liquid that really has that tang. The trick with Apple Ice is to exhale partially through the nose; you still won’t get the tang, but the scent will at times almost be enough to convince you that this e-liquid contains real apple.

I’m a bit of a menthol nut; I’ll almost always think that an e-liquid could use a little more. For most people, though, I think the amount of menthol in Apple Ice will be spot on. The menthol cools the vapor nicely without covering the apple flavor. The vapor production is good, and the throat hit is slightly below average for an 18 mg e-liquid.

I can’t see myself buying another bottle of Mister-E-Liquid’s Apple Ice when the bottle is empty, but reviewing it was a pleasant enough experience. I think the e-liquid would have been a little more interesting if Mister-E-Liquid had managed to put a bit more tang into it. As it is, it’s a little one-dimensional for my taste.
