When I think of Turkish tobacco, “citrus” isn’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind. Turkish tobacco tends to be slightly sweet with plenty of dark, smooth flavor notes. Virginia tobacco, on the other hand, tends to be more bright and grassy; these are the sensations that come to mind when I vape Mister-E-Liquid’s Kamel Hump e-liquid.
Kamel Hump leaves nothing to the imagination; it’s obviously intended to resemble the Turkish and domestic tobacco blend that you would find in a Camel cigarette. However, I’m not sure that it’s entirely successful in its attempt; because the citrus note is a bit overpowering, Kamel Hump ends up tasting a bit more like flavored tobacco than the classic tobacco cigarette it’s supposed to resemble.
That being said, I think you’ll enjoy the flavor of Mister-E-Liquid’s Kamel Hump if you don’t buy it expecting an authentic Turkish tobacco experience — especially if you like your tobacco e-liquids a little more on the sweet side than average. Behind the sweet citrus note, you’ll taste a peppery spice note that definitely speaks “tobacco” even if it doesn’t resemble any specific tobacco you’ve ever had.
Like most of the e-liquids I have reviewed from Mister-E-Liquid, Kamel Hump definitely shines in the performance department. The nicotine creates a nice sizzle on the tongue, and when you inhale you’ll detect a throat hit that’s slightly better than average for an 18 mg e-liquid. The vapor production is also excellent.
Kamel Hump isn’t going to become a mainstay in my e-liquid rotation. When I vape tobacco e-liquids, I tend to like products that put the savory and spicy notes at the forefront, leaving just a bit of sweetness to tickle my tongue in anticipation of the next puff. Vaping Kamel Hump, you’ll experience the reverse; you’ll detect the sweetness first and the spice will linger. You’ll also have to work a little to convince yourself that you’re getting a realistic tobacco flavor.
